I was planning to take the train to Kamaishi, but after waiting 30 minutes at Morioka Station with no sign of it, I found out it was delayed by an incredible 1 hour and 50 minutes. So, I spontaneously decided on a day trip to Miyako using the Yamada Line, recently restored after the disaster. It felt like a hidden gem journey.
