It does not make sense to silo off various kinds of health from one another. Gut health and mental health and neurological health and immune health and endocrine health are all interrelated. The body is an ecosystem. The connectivity between different body systems, and how that plays into health and disease is something Traditional Chinese Medicine has always understood. The whole systems approach of ancient healing traditions is increasingly validated by modern research: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10059722/

👏 👏, Western medicine has its merit but one area that needs a lot of work is fragmentation due to over specialization. To be honest it happens not only in the medical field, but in areas like academia, law and technology to name a few. Expertise without integration is blindness in high resolution!

đź’Ż Beautifully said. I think we are at a point now where we need to focus more on integration and the connections between different fields and sub-specialties
