With still zero proof of any collusion, and the proof of more censorship of Bin Laden's letter than censorship of Tianenmen Square protests, this will be one of the most cowardly things US government will have done, even in such a long list.

There are so many things besides Tiktok owned by Chinese companies that aggregate American customer data. The recently launched Marvel Rivals game (made by NetEase) is one of them. 

Banning TikTok would be digging a hole in the water.

TikTok has over 120 million users and growing in USA … what other Chinese app or game have over 100 million users in USA. Honest question, I’m curious.

I’ve been to China for business several times, so I’m not a fan of them mining consumer data all over the world.

It may sound ridiculous, but the U.S. wants the media empire for itself and does everything it can to block Eastern media.

TikTok is probably 100x everything else combined

It’s not about the data, it’s about controlling the narrative.
