I feel a lot more confident investing (time and capital) in social than I felt building b2b software or investing in defi protocols Whenever I think about why I’m doing it the answer is always straightforward and grounded in my own experience (socialising with people is fun) vs trying to understand markets and narratives Tweet is kinda related https://x.com/itsmnjn/status/1809329192250822922

As someone who has spent a lot of time in B2B, I often feel the opposite.

I enjoy thinking about markets. Solving business problems, delivering a product that has a clear $ value return. I believe I enjoy the process of business. And B2B makes it a little more clear on the approach. B2C is fascinating as well, and I genuinely believe harder and requires a really high rigor on product.

ah okay gotcha, makes sense and i agree i think the fact that the real world value delivered by b2b is a bit more convoluted sometimes made me feel like what i'm doing doesn't really matter e.g. the product you're building solves business problems for a business that solves other business problems etc, which is a chain that eventually terminates in a business that is addressing people's desires (unless you're in crypto :P jk)
