A healthy sign of society is the ability to replace elites: _can a new set of elites with new ideas and people replace the old?_ It’s a sign that the current elites are not so entrenched that new people cannot rise through meritocracy and new ideas are not shunned away. (h/t @dwr.eth)

I believe blockchains take this to the extreme in the ideal case by making replacement only a fork with a new idea and distribution away. Even Naval believes that we will always have new chains, I do as well. Always a new meme to be proliferated. https://x.com/naval/status/1867033875085685188?s=46

It’s actually important that the Republicans won, policy and your feelings aside, it means that even with a very entrenched Democratic Party it is still possible to beat them in America. Which is a healthier sign than many will admit.

It’s also why the Little Tech agenda matters. Mega corps are very entrenched and need competition, but the game is rigged against little tech (always will be). You need policies that allow new competition to enter, and most of that is fighting regulatory capture. Esp true in healthcare.
