Farcaster appeals to builders primarily, it kind of always has. It’s open so anyone can come and hangout, but social capital is built through proof of work and being a positive community member.

Farcaster already has an elite group of founders, VCs, employees, indie hackers, creators/influencers, organizers, community leaders, etc. 

There is a wide variety of crypto teams that spend time here. Base, Zora, Consensys, Privy, Dynamic, Neynar, Opacity, Icebreaker, Ponder, BountyCaster and the list goes on.

Merkle can continue to be the gardener of this emerging ecosystem by:

- building more public infrastructure (frames, wallets, Snapchain, etc.) 
- supporting FarCon (“TechCrunch Disrupt”)
- Building or supporting the creation of “institutions”*
- attracting the investment of major players**

* Silicon Valley became what it is because of its ability to share knowledge, create powerful networks, and attract talent 

** Silicon Valley got a huge boost because of the US Military.

There is already a graveyard of startups that spent time here, my story is one of them. And sadly, there will be more. BUT there are going to huge successes too.
