What are ways that crypto can help the world’s poorest people?

I basically got into to crypto to work on this, and my wife runs pilots around the world working on just this where I help on technical aspects. 

1. Pay them a fair wage for respectable work 
2. Give them the ability to save wealth in currently unavailable assets
3. Direct aid (cash transfers)

Now, more importantly the best thing we can do free them from the reigns of malevolent authoritarian regimes. 

That’s the thing holding them back the most: corrupt regimes extracting from those societies.
