Arbitrum One is probably the right balance of most decentralized, cheap, and high TVL. Though it’s not perfect.

not necessarily looking for balance! i want cheap transactions and am willing to trade off tvl and decentralization i'm even willing to go as far as running my own L1 geth node network but would prefer not to maintain a node

Isn’t a network pointless without TVL? If you want just run an OP based layer 3 on Base or something in AWS if you don’t give a fuck lol

The thing I want is shared consensus for a handful of isolated non-financial contracts, so TVL doesn’t matter for this use case Good point on L3. Might consider degen chain lol
