Moxiesplaining Journal Day 22: Value Creation + Demand As a Moxie Maxi, I want Moxie to succeed for the sake of the whole FC ecosystem in the long term. So I want to think carefully about sustainability concerns. It's in the network’s best interest for us to examine possible shortcomings and suggest changes if warranted. The latest nerd-snipe for me is a thoughtful take from @abundance, founder of /impact, regarding the demand side of Moxie's tokenomics. To be truly sustainable, Mike says, Moxie “would need to tweak the mechanism to capture value beyond just engagement,” because "engagement in itself is value-neutral." I find this line of reasoning pretty compelling. Value created via curation labor + channel moderation is under-incentivized, for example. But these are hard problems. Great thoughts. Thanks for contributing (and for quote-casting it here too). It's the sort of discussion that I'd like to see pinned to a channel in such a way that it could be revived and expanded whenever new or clarifying info surfaces. I might summarize it for a future day of the Moxiesplaining Journal, or at least make sure the thread is directly linked from my Paragraph newsletter issue on Sep. 30 that will contain all the Moxiesplaining entries.
