ITAP at Dry Tortugas National Park Its a small archipelago of coral islands 70 miles west of Key West, Florida. DT was first discovered by Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513, and he referred to the islands as the "Turtugas" due to the high number of sea turtles found there. Eventually the US acquired Florida from the Spanish and later began construction of Fort Jefferson on Dry Tortugas as it was positioned in a strategic location for naval warfare. Crystal clear water and a beautiful snorkeling spot - if you're ever in Key West, highly recommend taking the boat ride to spend half a day here 🐠

yeah bro it was a great time! we actually didn't see any sea turtles while we were there, but saw tons of dope fish while snorkeling

Damn that's a bummer on the turtles but i bet those fish were amazing to look at. I've never done that before, the ocean scares me a bit haha apparently we know more about space exploration than ocean exploration which is crazy to think about πŸ€” wtf is down there
