Update: I am now in the top 150 people followed on Farcaster, 3 days in. The latest script took a long time, I blame ChatGPT, since I am clearly not doing the work. Here is my magnum opus: I now like the most recent post of anyone who has liked one of the last 100 posts across the platform. This runs every 5 minutes.

As someone who works hard at trying to create genuine community connection here with very slow and steady development, this feels gross to me. However I use generative AI everyday as a professional artist so I guess I can understand the experiment. Perhaps it’s not my battle to fight. Quality over quantity right?

I see this as a starting point/party trick/icebreaker. Since coming here a few months back, I found it hard talk to people. But since running the bots 3 days ago, I've had almost two dozen conversations with people both publicly and in my DMs. Even my worst detractors have now had good chats with me, and often follow.

Very interesting. I’m new here too, pre-permissionless 😉 I don’t fully understand how it works but I guess I’ll have to ready your breakdown casts in order to. What’s the deeper underlying meaning and lastly do you see us all using the same workflow?

I think automating the liking of strangers posts is a good way to freely advertise yourself but the end state is noise and so it will need to be curbed by the client eventually. I’ll reveal the deeper meaning at DevConnect on farcaster’s unconference.
