Ireland holds a special place in my heart. I spent winter '96, spring '97, in Galway as part of an exchange students program.
I still remember the walk from Corrib Village to UCG, the crazy weather, the pubs, and of course, this is where I learned to appreciate Guinness. So many beautiful memories. Sunday branches at the King's Head, with small jazz bands performing live. The Aran Islands. A wild party at Menlo Castle.
Warm people I fell in love with. At some point, someone "explained": "you know, our island was originally in the Mediterranean, next to you (Greece), that's why we feel close". It makes sense. 1 reply
