Exactly. Some parts are thousands of years old, while others were built during the Ming Dynasty. I think that was around the 14th century, right?

And to think they built it to protect against invasions. It’s crazy how much effort and manpower it must have taken.

Yeah, the Ming Dynasty did a lot of the construction we recognize today. They used bricks and stones to make the wall stronger compared to the earlier sections, which were made of tamped earth.
