The jewelry art of Ancient Egypt was at a high stage of development, distinguished by its love for bright polychrome (multicolor) effects. The materials for jewelry were exclusively gold, bronze, lapis lazuli, amethyst, jasper, obsidian and emeralds. Embossing, engraving and so-called cold enamel were used (including cubes of glass paste and colored stones between the royal partitions). The ancient Egyptians preferred to disperse gold in thin leaves, cut out ornaments from them and decorated various objects with them: weapons, vessels, furniture. This style of jewelry is called gold leaf style.
