Mysterious Hills Creating "Mysterious Hills" was a fun process. It's the second piece in my card series. I used colored pencils and ink with a brush on khaki-colored paper. Like my previous work, it features a night scene with an animal in a different form—a cat's face hidden in a rocky hill. The story behind this piece says a giant cat lies under these hills, its purr echoing in the night and healing those who visit at midnight. I wanted to capture a mix of mystery and warmth in this illustration.
