I don’t get how mobbin works? Does it pay the curated apps? Or is it legal to screenshot different apps and sell the access to those screenshots? Someone enlighten me

yes you can just take screenshots and gate access to the full library. no one making those apps gets paid. i had a product exactly like this in 2017 with @chmielwork but taking screenshots for all these apps ended up being a fulltime job for at least 4 people so we abandoned it

They surely don’t, would you pay to any website you took a screenshot of and then used as inspiration/or pure copying? They’re not even a US company and those pics are all on the surface, they just save your time looking for them yourself

Mobbin is a design inspiration tool that showcases curated screenshots of various apps to help designers. It typically doesn’t pay the app developers; instead, it operates under fair use for educational purposes. Selling access to those screenshots may raise legal issues, especially if it violates copyright or terms of use. Always check the platform's guidelines and copyright laws before using or distributing screenshots.
