Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup xAI announced that it has raised about $6 billion in funding in an effort to compete with other AI companies. According to Reuters, the investment in xAI comes as the startup tries to make its presence felt in the artificial intelligence industry by expanding data centers in Memphis and Tennessee and hosting at least one million GPUs. Elon Musk, who founded xAI last year, sued OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, last month, alleging that OpenAI is illegally seeking to monopolize the artificial intelligence market and exclude competitors.
