"The Volto Mask" is the most popular and mass-produced carnival mask. The mask repeats the features of a human face. It is also known as the mask of the Citizen, because since ancient times it was worn by ordinary townspeople during the following festivities: St. Mark's Day, the Sensa Festival, St. Vitus and Modestus Day, the festivities in honor of St. Stephano, just to name a few.

It is possible to mount it with tapes, sometimes it had a handle-holder on the chin. It could be worn by both men and women. Just like the Baute Mask, Volto allowed you to breathe and talk without difficulty, but unlike Baute, it was impossible to drink and eat in it, since in the chin area it fits snugly to the face, including covering the mouth.
