16 years ago, on January 12, 2009, the creator of the first cryptocurrency under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto sent developer Hal Finney the first transaction on the network.

In the first transaction, Satoshi sent ten coins for a test. Over the next few days, Finney emailed the bitcoin creator, helping to fix bugs.
