tThe story of Menippus is less known. 

Menippus, a Cynic philosopher, lived a life of questioning and satire. After his death, his soul descended to the Underworld. 

There, he observed that all souls, whether rich or poor, were equal in death. He met famous figures like Croesus and saw that their former wealth and power meant nothing in the afterlife. 

The encounter reinforced Menippus's belief that material wealth and earthly status are meaningless in the face of death. 

His journey highlighted the equality of all souls and the futility of earthly distinctions.
