The only way to escape the destiny is to do the opposite of what was meant to happen. I just watched a deeply disturbing movie - The vanishing (1988), examining humans capabilities to take risks and go to extreme lengths to prove that they can. The og is Dutch/French movie. But there's a remake by the same director with American actors filmed in 1993. I'll watch it one day.
