I took this photo at a fishing village by a lake. I went there in the early morning to get some minimalist misty shots for my then ongoing collective Less is More. 

All the boats in this village were of dark wood with no paint, so they pretty much look like black. Then I saw this one, abandoned. Its vibrant colors and texture looked like an abstract painting. 

I thought it formed a great contrast with the calm waters. The tide was really low and boat was stuck in mud, so I took my chances for a long exposure.
