It's really hard for projects in crypto to get past "launch events". Which is really ironic because the whole point of tokens is to create an asset that lasts forever onchain where value can accrue to participants. But instead we see investors jump from thing to thing and that is where most of the value is to be made. Which then pushes builders to be short term. And build something just for the launch hype. Either this is to be fixed in crypto or embraced. Kind of like how @tokenworks is embracing short term and experimenting with lots of projects. But the trick is figuring out how to turn those into longer term valuable things.

I think its an issue with the aggregate profile of founders in the space. Too much optimism. They are always planning for the best and not for the worst. There is so much expectation on the launch event, it rarely goes to plan. Then projects are irrevocably crippled.
