3rd prompt for this new season of /words: How do you use writing to improve attention or deal with information overload? Could be related to note-taking, journaling, newsletters, replies… I’m curious to hear of any way that you’ve found writing to be beneficial for mental well-being in this modern attention economy ✨ Please respond with either a comment below or via quote cast here in the channel, whichever you prefer ✍️

Recently started not just journaling, but journaling in cursive writing. I normally use my engineering chickenscratch when journaling but found my hand got tired. My cursive hasn’t been used in years (maybe decades), so I am relearning the flow slowly. It helps me slow down and think my thoughts, as well as giving me space for craft (my handwriting). I’ve found it very useful this year!

I’m going to try writing in cursive again. It has been so long. I think it’ll be fun. And will be like writing secret code because I’m the only one who will probably be able to read it. 🤣

Yeah! It has a very personal element that I’ve always loved. Especially my to do lists lol, makes them feel like less work
