A more technical term for the same idea as used by @guiltygyoza is "strict serializable consistency"

The new area I see high signal folks like guiltygyoza coalesce around is this idea of separation of concern between what *needs* strict serializable consistency, and what doesn’t, and what should live where

Farcaster=most of it doesn’t need strict global consensus but you can always mint something 

It’s the more abstract of saying « use the chain for what’s truly unique about it » or « should this be on chain? ». But pulling this thread your realize you can offload a lot more to p2p networks that *do not* require strict global consensus because they can always compact back into strict global consensus (through validity proofs for example)
