I picked two understated international films for my solo movie day, The Taste of Things and Perfect Days. Tran Anh Hung’s The Taste of Things perfected the art of sensory storytelling in an ode to taste and soulmates. Wim Wenders’ Perfect Days reveled in the beauty in routine and the joys of solitude.
