They basically were made for crypto summer. Focused on “creators can monetize” because NFTs = free money. So attracted a lot of airdrop farmers and creators looking for money. This was during 2021 peak days. Hard to recover from there. Technical issues aside it was doomed from day 1. Extrinsic =/= creator economy.
