No I think it's worth $0, it's literally a picture of lemons that Dan took. It's only notable because it was created by someone notable and notable people should think twice before launching liquid coins on the open market regardless of how easy apps make it to do so. No reason for it to be an ERC-20.

Why should anyone buy a liquid asset that represents your picture of lemons though? ERC-20s just don't seem like the right tool for the job here, too much emphasis on market cap

I will say a friend who I was showing Zora to for the first time took a bit to understand the market cap aspect and definitely took some explaining. Didn’t connect as easily.

It’s a fundamental rethink of the space but too early to call it imo. Curious to let it marinate for a bit.

It's a burn the boats bet. Like anything in startups, risk of failure is quite high.

She still was wondering why anyone would want to mint. I was making the analogy to instagram. Tbh I don’t think there was as much of a gap as i expected in market cap vs collecting. Collecting was easier to understand but the why wasn’t as obvious. But she has investments and has traded stocks so maybe that’s why.

This is someone who doesn’t understand blockchain or what being onchain means. The numbers and the concept of the amount of money that flows onchain def grabbed the attention.

Def made me more open minded to the experimentation. Think we need more of this kind of research/analysis. Just walk through with someone that has no onchain context or history.

Odds are def not 0. I think of it as replacing likes but there’s def friction when it comes to analyzing the “worth”. Is the market cap the representation or the collection price? Will have to choose, can’t have both. You can but it was hard to explain and felt pointless.

I think it’s more of a “here’s how much I like it” and then not really keeping track of it. Then if a post really blows up you can be like oh did I “like it”. 

I’m open to the idea even if not fully sold on it yet

But when you like something now you just like it and move on. Imagine having to monitor every single piece of content you've "liked" on the internet? And keep checking to see how many people have liked it or if people have started "unliking" it?
