If FC gets large enough, many people will create entire psychographic graphs of FIDs and their relationships

In the wrong hands, this is insanely easy to exploit

If FC stays small, no worries

If the goal is to stay a niche community, it's not a problem. I'll still be here happy and contributing.

If the goal is to grow big, I'm sorry.. I just fail to see how privacy doesn't become an issue at scale as mainstream people adopt the network and become exposed

maybe my hope for the scale of FC is misaligned

They already do this at scale. You just don’t have to face it as clearly as this and I guess it’s limited to only those the government trusts/allows but barely at that.

Yeah, I know. There is an illusion of transparency in the US, for example.. supposed court orders to get access to my data, etc.

But is that our defaut now? To just allow this type of exposure? Seems like there is a better way.

I expect there to be improvements in this area I was just making the reminder that this is the current default state.
