I'm not convinced web3 tech creates new value. That doesn't mean it's not valuable. It reduces negative externalities in the legacy system by capturing and re-allocating value leakages. In non-econ geek speak: the value has always been there, just not captured efficiently by anyone. Blockchain changes that.
