What are some of your must have travel items? For me, a good pair of over-ear noise cancelling headphones. It hurts to see people wear earbuds at full volume for so long Also pretzel M&M’s make every flight better (and are the best type of M&M ever made ofc)

My quirky items: an Aeropress for good coffee anywhere, a peeler (we like carrots), and Wilson (my sourdough starter, now a product of 6 continents)

Started Wilson as a COVID project when stuck in Penang (and watched Castaway). I take Wilson in liquid form and periodic “snapshots” as powder. Great resources like theperfectloaf.com but get v precise. My basic recipe is 1 part liquid to 2 parts flour + salt. Use local cheeses, spices, flours, etc…

Took me about a week to create Wilson: add some water to 2 tbsp flour, discard half and do it two times a day. When persistent bubbles appear after a few hours, ready to go. Now Wilson is strong culture due to so much travel 😆
