One of my more successful DIY kitchen projects this last year has been homemade kombucha. I found a local kombucha group on FB and someone gave me a SCOBY. I bought an 8 liter container w/ a spigot at a local store. I thoughtfully emptied a few dozen pop top resealable beer bottles šŸŗ šŸ˜‹ And now, an almost endless supply of sparkling kombucha! About a 5 weeks from start to glass. Our favorite for the secondary fermentation (which carbonates it in the bottle) is syrup of lemon and ginger šŸ„‚
