AFAIK 0.0001 ETH as a denomination has no name how would you feel about the name a *dot*? think we need something simple, short, approachable. https://www.weponder.io/surveys/1462

but why? whats so special about 0.0001 ETH Why not just use SI formatting - 0.001 ETH = 1 mETH

at $10k 0.0001 ETH = $1 that decimal place will be a very important denomination for pricing things

Kinda disagree with that though, basing decimals and units around some arbitrary price seems to be counter productive. What if eth drops back to 1k? Do we create a new name? What if it hits 100k?

$1 isn't an arbitrary price plus we already have terms for 0.00001 and 0.001 there's no name for the specific denomination in question if it goes to $100k, we have a good term for that decimal equivalent if it goes to $1k, we have bigger problems

Except it is though. What if China becomes the next global leader and then now all your currency basis is in Chinese yuan? Don't really get the need for a new unit based around usd price of eth. I mean, feel free to propose all you want. Imo simplest to just use SI fractional units of ETH
