In 1939 at the height of the Holocaust Hitler allowed jews wanting to leave Germany by way of passenger liner was the "St. Louis"at the sea port of Hamburg Ger. onboard was over 1,000 jews headed for Cuba or America was refused entry by both countries and had to go back to Europe
