I rode through half of Thailand in a third-class train car. Me: Overall, not too shabby, but the seats were a real bummer. After 8 hours, you really get wiped out. Even the next day, I could still feel the discomfort from those benches. Would I repeat this trip if needed? Definitely, yes. It’s a tolerable journey. Though, a bus is definitely comfier.
