What’s up people!! I’m Corey aka SUPER WAV. I am a DJ working in solar energy and looking to build my personal brand (ultimately looking to bring these worlds together with a solar-powered party in Brooklyn!) Question for you all - what is a song from before 1980 that you think would be a hit if released today?

To build on it a little more, I’m looking for tracks that sound like they could have been recorded and released this century. My SUPER WAV brand will be channeling the vintage/nostalgic but also the futuristic. I also love playing open-format DJ sets with a wide range of genres.

My answer: “Three Girl Rhumba” by Wire. Listen to it blind, then realize this was released in freaking 1977! Its influence was clearly massive and still carries on today, it’s at least 2-3 decades way ahead of its time and defined the post-punk & alternative genres.
