What I’m excited about: canal developments in 1790s in UK

innovations down stream from Newcomen engine that pumped water out of mines led to development of the steam engine

Steam engine led to being able to move lots of mass using canals, which led to massive canal development in England over the next few decades

creating and destroying; built flying cars & autonomous vehicles, now building roc.camera, writings: july.rocks

This is a game changer and the first non crypto/nft related post I have seen in this platform and I’ve been here since June last year!
Incidentally, I’m interested in British canals. In Edinburgh where I live, there is a canal which links Edinburgh to Glasgow and has incredible aqueducts which span the valleys.
