With my recent project Spectres, I gave collectors of individual tracks instant access to stream the full album months ahead of its official release. This wasn't a subscription model, but rather a token-gated page on my website to which all the individual NFTs acted as keys. The goal was to push the limits of onchain interoperability to explore what a web3-native album release can look like in 2024. More info here: https://www.bonfire.xyz/sprsgl/spectres

Interesting that the first use case for Ethereum Vitalik mentioned in 2014 was peer-to-peer messaging. I know this exists, but no one seems to be using it.
