August 23 is National Flag Day of Ukraine 🇺🇦
The meaning of the blue and yellow colors on the flag is traditionally interpreted as a combination of a clean, peaceful, cloudless sky that stretched over the yellow color of the wheat field - a symbol of peaceful labor and prosperity.
Cossack flags of the Zaporizhzhya Army were often made of blue cloth with a knight in golden robes, with gold ornaments and fittings.
The blue-yellow flag was officially approved as the state symbol of Ukraine on January 28, 1992.
Blue and yellow (but, of course, with different images and proportions) are the flags of six more countries: Sweden 🇸🇪, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿, Barbados 🇧🇧, Kosovo 🇽🇰, Palau 🇵🇼 and Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦. 0 reply
