Something mostly lost once I got a girlfriend was the joy of going out solo. Sitting at the bar, having a meal, and a few drinks by myself. 

Lost in thought. No headphones. No book. Just thinking. People watching. Maybe you start a convo with the bar tenders. Get a shot on the house. 

Total bliss. 


I was going on a date once and girl bailed at last second. I went to the bar solo. Sat there, talked with bartenders, told them what happened they started giving me free shots and experimental cocktails.
