Now degen is the ‘real farcaster’ since if FC company launch a token- paradigm / a16z and core team will have at least 30%-40% of the token supply (let’s assume 20% for team 10% per round); CEX listing will obv charge some % (let’s ignore first). 
Let’s say FC token launched at 1B-2B fdv (btw Mask launched at 4B so all these fdv at launch is bubble until fully unlocked ) Given the L3 case happened with degen; if I’m managing a fund aum ~1B+ I will assume paradigm will do PvP with my fund (such fund’s GP/LP are already or easily paradigm’s target LP for its new fund) ; I’d rather buy degen for a better fc proxy trader and eventually the +% of degen is better than fc.

Anyone who has been around knows degen isn't integral to Farcaster, sure it played a part in growth but the people decided to do that. Same as every other token that gets pushed.

The value in degen is the interconnectedness with the social aspect of Farcaster. However it has at this point just behaved as UBI for starving artists and a farmers wet dream.

any of these would be great if they showed an unbreakable alignment to the social network and ETH. but likely not going to happen as long as ppl can trade sqlana shitters on their phones.
