What lets you search chats across all apps? Surely this must exist.

figured it out. nothing exists. Beeper and Texts were both acquired by Automattic & are currently being merged. neither has working search.

We’re investor of Texts and been experienced the whole story. 
It’s extremely hard and expensive to build ‘the product’ u want :)

I’m guessing the proprietary chat apps don’t expose a search api?

Maybe the only way this gets fixed is if someone (apple?) more or less forces them to

The only way to search is probably go locally? Imsg is impossible to have APIs etc
