I’m using obs from desktop. The internet stuff I read says a plugin for OBS would work but seems to have conflicting info

Yes, you can use the OBS option when going live. Simply copy the stream key and the RTMP URL, and paste them into OBS to start streaming.

Yea.. but can’t I only do one at once? I have to choose your platform your YouTube doing that method…
