I joined Farcaster when it @dwr.eth was personally rolling out invites. 

At the time, I was hacking on small indie onchain projects with friends- chasing clout and grant monies. A friend convinced me that decentralized social was where clout was truly at, he had been having conversations with @vitalik.eth, @balajis.eth and the like. @ishika, a close friend, was a long term FC fan anyway!

I joined. Casted for a few days. Discourse was mostly technical and I didn't know anyone. There was no engagement. I got bored and left.

Got back last December, when I shutdown the payments company I was running and finally had the time and energy to explore other things.

Farcaster felt like a small cozy place on the internet where people just understood crypto.
