Anyone else a bit bummed by xmtp chat in wallets so far?

Combining money movement and messaging is exciting generally, and especially in crypto.

But everyday come these notifications and spam. Can't stop them, can only block. It will hurt wider adoption.

Maybe it was inevitable the first use case would be spam.

I agree, the spam in xmtp chat can be frustrating and hinder wider adoption. Hopefully, wallet developers will find a solution to this issue soon. It would be a shame if such a promising feature gets overshadowed by spam.
