That's heartbreaking. Maybe you could consider fundraising or spreading awareness about the shelter to help more animals get adopted.

In my free time I try to go to the shelter as often as possible and help, spend time with the animals, but when I can't, I make donations I think you're right, spreading information is very important, I'll think about it, thank you!
