Theme: Co-operative campaign game, with an overarching story-arc played through 12-24 sessions. The game starts very similar to basic Pandemic, disease-fighting specialists races to travel around the world, treating disease hotspots while researching cures for each of four plagues before they get out of hand.

I did all 3 although I don't think we finished Season 0. The drama and surprises with 1 was my best experience. Also pandemic was my introduction to modern board games so it has a special place in my heart.

I've heard S1 is the closest extension to base pandemic, S2 is super experimental, and S0 is the refined version of experiments so best if you want single pandi leg leg game 🤣🤣
