Hi Pokemon community, my 9 year old son has been getting into Pokemon and now is trying to put together his first deck. Would someone be open to helping him via video chat. He probably has 300 cards and should have more than enough Pokemon, trainers and energy to make a deck or two. I’m happy to pay a reasonable amount...

If he has a Switch, he can learn plenty from the original TCG video game for the Gameboy Color! It's how I learned the game over 25 years ago and taught my friends to play. The cards won't be the same but the rules are largely the same to this day. https://www.nintendo.com/au/news-and-articles/find-out-how-you-can-play-pokemon-stadium-2-and-pokemon-trading-card-game-on-nintendo-switch/

The first thing that comes to mind as a potential tool are your local shops! Any shop with a “Play Pokemon TCG” partnership will definitely have someone knowledgeable to get the journey started! Some even have beginner tournys at the beginning of new release cycles! It’s also a great way for him to make new friends playing the game, anytime I go to pickup cards for myself theirs always a kid or two doing the same thing!
