Took a 20 minute Uber today, cost me $19.89. Driver took home a little over $5. 

Uber's take is 75% - that seems surprisingly high. I would have expected a split closer to 50-50.

It's staggering how much gets skimmed off the top. Drivers put in all the effort but see so little of the fare. A more balanced split could make this line of work more sustainable for those behind the wheel. It's definitely a conversation worth having to ensure fairer earnings!
