Is protesting still actually effective? There was def value pre internet but now it feels outdated, like writing a letter or riding a horse.

In France, they start listening to you if you burn things like road, trash... It's easier (and faster) to pass an unpopular law and smash protests than finding a consensus with opposant party

I think it can still be effective. If you're talking about the protests in US universities, I think they're very effective. Got everyone talking about them and in general it forces notorious people come out as to which side they support. That's what it's about.
